I know... I'm a monster

I still recall may 20th, 2008 fondly as it was the day we all learned that Ted Kennedy has a malignant glioma. A brutal brain tumor that will likely kill him within a couple of years at best or a couple of months at worst.

I don't mean to suggest that I want him to suffer or even die, but rather that I find him an anachronistic and repugnant relic of a political and cultural age in America that has mercifully passed and that I think fondly of a world without him.

He is the embodiment of the 1960's political era dominated by America's worst generation, the baby-boomers. The self-righteousness, dishonesty, hypocrisy, self-indulgence, and short-sightedness that are the hallmark of that generation are also perfectly distilled in Ted Kennedy's self-flagellating and opportunistic utopianism. He did, after all, slavishly dote upon them for all of his forty plus years in elected office. A match made in Oceania.

The only thing worse than having to listen to a baby-boomer wax nostalgic about the 60's is watching that arcane relic try to relive them by way of federal decree. He has done more damage to this country than any other human by so substantial a margin that it fills me with hope to know that I might be able to dance on his grave on my thirtieth birthday.

I know, I know,  I'm a monster but for him, just this once, that's okay by me.

An introduction with a mission

This blog has a mission.

Nothing as grand as trying to save the world nor as idiotically useful as rating burrito joints, but a mission exists none-the-less. That mission is to force from my mind every useful idea, clever insight, and worthwhile thought that I will have over the next few years (and which would usually go to waste) along with an equal number of useless ones and paste them into this blog for public consumption... please enjoy.
